LA JUNTA--'the gathering' or 'the assembly' in Spanish--is a bi-weekly summer event bringing together people of all backgrounds in the name of friendship, dancing, and deep music from points around the globe.  Based in the community of east Pasadena in LA's San Gabriel Valley, eventgoers are treated to sun-kissed afternoons in an outdoor patio setting, as music, food, libations, smiles, and dance moves flow joyfully into dusk.

Over the last couple of years, La Junta's resident deejay and co-founder--degruvme--has been quietly producing and writing a small mountain of beats, lyrics & dreams….

Last year, a casual collaboration with Leah Gallegos of East L.A. urban folksters Las Cafeteras provided the spark for an ambitious project that would entice a few more of his favorite Angeleno singers to step out of their established sounds and see what would happen when let loose on dance floor-inspired tracks.

The fruition of degruvme's labor of love is an EP featuring five multitalented artists-- Leah Rose (Las Cafeteras), Alexandro D. Hernández Gutiérrez (Aparato), Irene Diaz, Hector Flores (Las Cafeteras), and Angie Kings--blessing six brand new songs with their unique voices and styles.

"Echoes of a Dream” is an eclectic mix of Disco, Synth-driven Nu-wave, Afro-Latin rhythms & Tribal House.

Join us for the special release event, brought to you by The Living Sessions & La Junta L.A. and emceed by the beautiful and talented Julieta Isela, featuring live performances by the artists as you have never heard them before!!!!!!

The Funky Brewsterz (Sazón @ Caña Rum Bar) & La Junta Sound System add fire and flavor from the turntables to keep the dance floor sizzling from the first beat to the last note.
